Okay, so you have now received your initial loan disclosures and your loan has been submitted to underwriting. What does that mean? When your mortgage loan application goes into underwriting, this means it’s being reviewed in detail by an underwriter. The underwriter’s job is to assess the risk of lending to you and to ensure that you meet all the lender’s requirements. Generally this part of the process take 2-3 Business days. Once completed, one of the following will happen. Your loan will be either Approved, Declined, or Suspended. At that point your assigned processor will be in touch to go over next steps
