Paw-ktoberfest takes place Saturday, October 3 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Stone Goat, 552 N. Country Road in St. James, New York.
Helping Our Heroes — and Their Paws
Paw-ktoberfest benefits Paws of War, an organization dedicated to helping veterans, active-duty military members and first responders through programs involving companion and service animals.
Its work includes rescuing and training shelter dogs to become service and companion animals for veterans, helping members of the military bring animals they rescued while deployed overseas home to the United States, and providing additional assistance to veterans and their pets.
For Jet Direct Mortgage Chief Operating Officer Peter Pescatore, supporting the organization and its mission is something that hits close to home.

Giving back to those who have sacrificed so much for our country is something that means a great deal to us, and we’re excited to be part of this event and help support such a great organization.”
An Afternoon of Fun With a Purpose
Paw-ktoberfest puts a four-legged spin on Oktoberfest and offers something for people and pups alike.
Come out and enjoy $7 beers, appetizers, live music, local vendors, raffle baskets and giveaways. And because we couldn’t have Paw-ktoberfest without the paws, dogs are welcome too!
There will even be a dog costume contest, so start thinking about what your pup will be wearing.
Most importantly, the afternoon gives our community an opportunity to come together, have a good time and support an organization doing important work for veterans, first responders and animals in need.
