COVID-19 Update

As the COVID-19 situation continues to develop, we are taking steps to help protect the safety of our employees and our borrowers. New information will be shared as it emerges, and we hope to continue safely providing our services to our clients.

Our Workplace

Jet Direct is providing alcohol-based hand sanitizers throughout the workplace. Cleaning sprays and wipes are being provided to disinfect frequently touched objects, such as phones and computers. Additionally, we are encouraging employees to work from home in an effort to reduce contact with those who may be infected.

If you are in the process of obtaining a mortgage from Jet Direct and have concerns, please consult your Loan Officer for information regarding the status of your mortgage.

Keeping You and Your Loved Ones Safe

The World Health Organization is monitoring the situation and providing updates as they become available.

The CDC website can help provide you with preventative tips and other information on staying safe during this time.

Social distancing and frequent hand washing are among the most important preventative measures.

Yes. Although we have put safety measures in place to ensure the safety and well being of our staff, borrowers and partners; Jet Direct Mortgage is still open for business, with our staff operating remotely at full strength, and serving the community.

No. Thanks to measures put in place some time ago, our cloud-based operational infrastructure is largely unaffected by our team operating remotely.

Make your April payment if you are able to do so. This will help you maintain a strong credit profile and protect your home equity. Making your April payment will also potentially help you save money in the future.

Remember; Jet Direct Mortgage allows up to 15 days for mortgage payments to be made before late fees are due. This means that your payment for the month of June can be made as late June 15th before late fees will

Forbearance temporarily postpones mortgage payments until a later date. This allows clients to remain in their home as they adjust to short-term financial difficulties.

We feel it is always in our client’s best interests to remain current on their mortgage payments. Forbearance should not be considered until there are no other rational options.

Jet Direct Mortgage is committed to helping clients achieve not only their short-term financial needs, but their long term needs as well. Methods that could potentially upset a client’s future finances are always a last resort.

If all other options have been exhausted, we will allow up to a 3-month forbearance on mortgage payments. All deferred payments will be due after the forbearance period.

Forbearance is a temporary suspension of your mortgage payments, allowing you to remain in your home while working through your short-term financial challenges. We will suspend your payments for up to 3 months. At the conclusion of the forbearance period, all of your deferred payments will be due.

  • Temporary suspension of your payments gives you time to improve your financial situation.
  • Forbearance doesn’t negatively impact your credit score.
  • Allows you to stay in your home and avoid foreclosure.

When forbearance is over, the loan needs to be brought up to date. One of the following must occur or the loan will default:

    • Pay the deferred payments in full.
    • Request and receive approval for an extension of the forbearance.
    • Request and receive approval for a repayment plan.
    • Apply for a loan modification.

Forbearance doesn’t mean your mortgage debt is forgiven or reduced. Deferred payments are still debt that you must repay.

Refinancing your current mortgage is a popular alternative to forbearance. If you are concerned about making future mortgage payments, refinancing may be a good option for you.

Streamline refinances are available to eligible borrowers who currently have an FHA or a VA loan. Streamline refinances allow borrowers to quickly and easily lock in lower rates and payments with significantly less paperwork.

Other benefits include:

  • No appraisal
  • No additional lender fees
  • No minimum credit score
